FAQS

What is your service area?
We serve Fauquier County, Culpeper County, Rappahannock County, Prince William County, Loudoun County, and Warren County.
Who needs in-home care?
Anyone from new mothers to post-surgical patients. Or, people who just need someone close for safety and help with all activities of daily living.
What is the cost for in-home care?
Please call us for rates.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Most insurance companies only cover skilled services that have been prescribed by a physician. You can call your insurance company to verify benefits. However, Long-Term Care Insurance sometimes does provide a small stipend to help cover the costs of home health care.
What is Long-Term Care Insurance?
Long-term care insurance is a relatively new type of insurance that helps to cover the expenses accrued from all types of long-term care. Unlike traditional medical care, long-term care generally helps an individual maintain their current lifestyle. It may not help an individual to get better, but it will help to ensure stability and comfort.
How do we start?
Our office staff will set up an appointment time with our nurse supervisor for a free in-home assessment. The nurse will meet with the client and their family to help devise a care plan and potential schedule for care in the home if needed. While in the home, the nurse will do a fall risk assessment to determine the client’s level of safety and make suggestions to help make the environment safer if needed.
Is your agency licensed?
Cleansing Water is licensed through the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Health.
How do you ensure the caregivers are qualified?
We only place caregivers who are able to meet the highest of standards. They must pass a written exam, have a clean background check and are screened, insured and bonded. The Department of Health requires 12 Continuing Education Units per year for every CNA.
What happens if my caregiver is sick or needs to take time off?
We do everything possible to cover all of our shifts. If you are flexible, and our caregiver can come a different day, we would be happy to do that. If you have a need for a specific day that your caregiver is unable to fill, we will gladly try to fill it with one of our other staff caregivers.
What will a Care Manager do for me?
Care Managers are able to perform an unbiased evaluation of the client’s mental, physical, social, financial and legal functioning.
Is there a minimum number of hours for a shift?
No, but we have found that 4 hour shifts are productive and cost efficient, compared to the higher cost of a 2 hour shift. The length of a shift is what the client needs.
Will I have the same caregiver in my home each time?
We try to provide continuity but also recognize the need for additional staff to be familiar with your case.
If I’m unhappy with a caregiver, what do I do?
We encourage all our clients to call the office immediately if they feel there may be a conflict with the assigned caregiver. We want the best fit for the client.
How will I be billed?
Weekly invoices are generated and mailed every Wednesday.
