A recent study tells us that sitting for prolonged periods of time is dangerous for your health, regardless of how much you exercise.

People who sat at a computer or in front of a TV screen for more than four hours per day were 48% more likely to die regardless of how much they exercised. Also, some type of cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack, was twice as likely in those who spent at least two hours per day sitting in front of a screen, compared to those who spent less than two hours daily in front of a screen.

Self-Defense Move: Take frequent breaks when sitting or watching TV to get up and walk around.
